Help! What Book Should I Read Next?

Linda Evangelista in a 1992 Gianfranco Ferre ad

I have always loved reading. But thanks to kids and work and The Bachelorette (kidding--sort of), I sadly, no longer have the time to read nearly as much. I do read, of course, but it takes me sooo much longer to finish something. (Thank god for the Kindle app on my phone.) So, when I do read, I need to make it count. I am just a few pages away from finishing The Goldfinch (love!), so now I need something equally awesome to start on as soon as I'm done.

So, that's where you come in! I need your recommendations. Have you read anything lately that you absolutely love? Oh, and since I know these suggestions are probably on the tip of your tongue: I've already read Gone Girl (loved), Where'd You Go, Bernadette (loved), The Fault in Our Stars (loooved), and Divergent (ehh).

Okay, so who can help me out? I need a page turner! Go!

Have you read "Sharp Objects" (also by Gillian Flynn), "Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore" (fun, quirky and kinda weird, sorta like "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?", I thought), "State of Wonder" or "Life After Life"? I think I loved State of Wonder the most, but I really enjoyed all of those.

I love teen fiction most of all. Jenny Han has a summer trilogy - the first book is the Summer I Turned Pretty. Faves.

I'm reading Gone With the Wind for the first time and am loving it!

Of course, I'd love for you to read Katherine Hill's The Violet Hour! And would also recommend Elizabeth Strout's The Burgess Boys and ML Stedman's The Light Between Oceans. Since long reads don't deter you (ie, you liked The Goldfinch) you might try Eleanor Catton's The Luminaries. It's a mystery that feels very Dickensian.
