I haven't done an outfit post in awhile (ok, it's been way more than awhile), but when I saw this skirt, it inspired me to get back in the game. I love it! I love the rose-gold color since I love rose-gold anything, I love the fit (not too tight, not too loose), and I love, love, LOVE that it's way more versatile than you'd think.

I can throw it on with a pair of heels and wear it out at night. But since I'm a mom who doesn't have that many nights when I go out at a sequins-and-heels level (to say the least!), I love that it's pretty awesome worn casually, too. These photos show my favorite way to wear it: dressed down with a blush-pink camo sweater (that's currently on sale 40 percent off, BTW!) and a pair of copper Birkenstocks. (The outfit is also pretty cute with sneakers, believe it or not.) Now, I wouldn't quite wear it for school dropoff or writing from home, but it definitely adds a bit more (literal) sparkle to running around the city for work events.

P.S.: I can't say enough good stuff about the camo sweater though. If sequins aren't your thing, it looks so cute with a pair of jeans, too. And it's on major sale right now!

Mommy & Me Fashion: Sparkle Twins

On me: Jacket, Rebecca Minkoff (and one left on MAJOR sale here!); skirt, Express (similar here), boots, Jimmy Choo (I know we don't want to think about winter, but these are the best boots EVER. I lived in them--practically literally--this past fall/winter). On her: Top, GapKids; skirt (similar here). Photos by Jennifer Casson.
There's no pretending that these photos aren't old. The tights, the jacket--I feel hot just looking at all those layers! But how could I not post these shots? We had them taken for fun earlier this year (back when my daughter was particularly deep in her "I-want-to-dress-exactly-like-mommy" phase), and I totally forgot to put them up here on the blog. Big. Mistake. How cute are they??

And, no, we did not venture out beyond our sidewalk like this! I mean, I love indulging my daughter's desire to dress like me. But I love doing it at home.

Enjoy the (#ThrowbackWednesday?) glimpse!
