The other day I was staring at a tube of lipstick (Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in 1)--as beauty editors are wont to do--when it occurred to me that the color combination of its sleek gold tube and blood-red bullet would make a pretty spectacular outfit. Inspired, I set out to make it happen. Now this is hardly the first time I've seen a connection between clothes and cosmetics (remember my manicure inspired by a favorite dress?), but here is the latest endeavor: A classic red lipstick, re-imagined as an outfit, thanks to a bright red sweater, a glitzy skirt, and a few golden accessories.
